The Franklin Jr. Wildcats were dominant throughout this season and finished strong with three teams being crowned NCSA champions for 2009.It was a beautiful fall football day at Elk Grove/Laguna community stadium. The Wildcat fans were out in proud support of our teams and proved once again to be the best in the NCSA!
The day started off well when the Jr. Wildcat Mighty Mites avenged the only loss of the season to the Christian Brothers Jr. Falcons with a 31-13 victory. The Mighty Mites overpowered the Falcons and jumped out to a 31-0 lead before giving up two late touchdowns to a CB team that would not give up. The Mighty Mites finish the season with a 9-1 record. Congratulations to Head coach Cary Trczinski, his assistants and the Mighty Mite team on a great season!
At the Pee Wee level, the Jr. Wildcats put together a pounding running game that never stopped from the opening kickoff until the final kneel down of the game.
The Pee Wee’s only loss of the season was at the hands of the Lodi Jr. Flames in week six of the season.
But the Jr. Cats were determined to make up for that defeat in the Championship.
The Wildcats took the opening drive in for a touchdown which ended up being all they needed as the defense played so tough, the Jr. Flames never sniffed the end zone.
Congratulations to Head Coach Dave Koehn, his assistants and the team on a great game plan that was well executed for the Championship.
The Pee Wees end the season with a 9-1 record.
At the Midget level, the Jr. Wildcats fell just short.
The Valley Jr. Vikings capitalized on some late miscues and penalties to score late in the fourth quarter and then held off a late rally by the Wildcats for a 6-0 victory.
Congratulations to head coach Cecil Williams I, the assistants and the entire Midget team on a great season, finishing with an 8-2 record.
The Midgets are definitely ready for the next level of football as
The five Jr. Wildcat teams put together a combine 43-6 record this season, in just our seventh year in existence.
Congratulations and thank you to all of the parents and fans that came out to support our teams this year.
Thank you also to our cheerleaders and cheer coaches for all that you do to keep the crowd and teams pumped up.
FJW is nothing without your support throughout the season.
